Rainy Day Update

First, I want to thank you all so so much, I really enjoy reading your comments.
Some of you had some questions that I would be happy to answer.

1. The camera I use is Marmie's it is a Canon PowerShot SX10IS there is a camera that I want for my own its the Nikon COOLPIX S8000 (donations accepted lol).

2. I do not miss school, there is too much commotion and I find it to hard to learn anything. Plus kids are trying to be "original'' and then they all look the same.

3. This one is more of a tip, when taking photos I like to get to the level of the object/person. Never be afraid to take a close up, and remember angles are key.
If you have any other questions you can contact me directly at,

Wow Aaron...Awesome photography.
You have a knack and a gift for it..pretty obvious! Maybe you can sell some of your pics and earn money for your camera! One girl's dad took beautiful nature photos and turned them into sleeved greeting cards that were offered and sold online. Animals would be a good subject for the same product.
I told Jayme that this would be a great way to earn credits to put on your high school transcript...
*Writing the blogposts - creative writing and grammar/expression credits
*Computer work and blogging - computer science credit
*Photography - arts credit
*Possible selling of your work - marketing/public relations credit
*Pricing/Inventory control/Profits - Business and Business math
Get the drift?
This will be a great Homeschooling venture and unit study.
But then you knew that. Cause you already do it with cooking - farming- gardening and horticulture- husbandry/animals- etc etc etc! What you said about not missing school is correct!
Way to go. Keep up the good work. Your auntie is very very proud of you we can tell!!!!!!!
Integrity and Character and all of your Skills and Gifts will take you far... the sky is the limit!
I enjoyed seeing your photography and will keep coming back to see more. It's awesome! :-)

Your photos are awesome. I have loved taking photos since I was a teenager too! I received my first 35mm cameral when I was a senior in high school.(pre-digital age). You are off to a great start with your blog!

Love the close up of the words...makes it very easy to read the welcome word...hey, by the way, welcome to blogging! I know I said that in the other comment I left...just used different words this time. :-)

You are absolutely spot on.....angle is everything.
I have a Nikon D40, and I love, love, love it.....
My secret for great pictures......take a TON OF THEM.
If I take 100 pictures, I might get one fantastic one. And that is enough.
Keep up the good work, Aaron, follow your dreams......I think you have a real talent.
Do you have a Flickr account???? You should.

I agree, great angle on the doormat. Good photos and already you have a bunch of followers. I think you should frame your best photos and sell them. Colege is expensive!
I love taking photos as well. Comes out much better than what i use to do with a crayola crayon...

Amazing photography!! I stop by your aunt's blog all the time and was so happy to hear that you have your own blog now to showcase your photography. Always nice to see what another "grown up" homeschooler is doing (my boys are 6 and 7 year old homeschoolers, so they think anyone who is a teenager and homeschooling in a "grown up" homeschooler.) Congrats on the new blog and looking forward to seeing all your work!!!

oh Aaron this is so great with your own blog and your pictures. How I admire what you are doing. A whole new world is opening up to you. Keep up the good work and try to keep your Aunt grounded (she needs it from time to time I think!!!lol). I love your photos and your sense of humor--can't get any better than that. Hi Aaron, I found your blog from your aunts blog. Very Nice!
We have several things in common-I noticed that you are form Lowell In, and I just drove through there on my way to Bourbonnais,Il to visit my home town. I also have a son named Aaron that I started homeschooling when he was 14 (He is now 20) I wish that he would have had an opportunity like this. It would have been a perfect outlet for him, because he too loves photography.
Enjoy Blogging!!!

Hi Aaron...I know your Marmie...well, sort of. I'm going to meet her someday soon, and I hope to meet you too! I love your snaps and it's so wonderful to see that you're pouring your talent into this blog, where you can share it will all of us!! You DO have a gift of the eye, and I'll be following your blog to pick up some pointers myself! Welcome to blogdom!

I agree about getting on the level of your subject in a photo. I also think less is usually more. The less surrounding stuff you show, the better.

Hi Aaron,

You have definitely got an eye for photography. Here is the website of someone that is about your age I know and think is very talented also. (www.paytonadams.com) I thought you might like to check it out.

Keep up the good work and I'll enjoy reading about your journey.

Lovin' that Welcome Mat. They're always so scratchy aren't they? And they hurt my bare feet in the summertime. Never mind me, just rambling.

Great pics!

I'm going to give angles a try, that sound like sound advice. Your photo's are great, I think I can learn a lot from you. I'm old but I think you can teach me some new tricks.

Thanks for tips on the "mechanics" of photography. Also LOVE the comment of Jayme having the same face for every emotion. Bwaahahahaa!! Not only a great photographer, but a comedian, as well!! Thanks for the laughs!!! your (semi-quasi-aunt) Val...:)

Hi Aaron & welcome to blogging.....your little corner is already beautiful and I can't wait to see more! Your header of the bleeding hearts is gorgeous (they are one of my favorites so I'm a little prejudiced).

You've been on my prayer list for awhile now!!!! Hope things are going well for you.

Wish you lived closer. I have a Canon Rebel, but all I can do is point and shoot. Would love to know how to use it properly.
