Texture

Texture, its what's in photos .
Pictures not only capture the moment they capture:
emotion, light,and texture.
Rough, the texture that has a heavy outline
and has great contrast.
Smooth, it can be dull, or amazingly shiny.
Your fingers glide over every curve.
Soft, the always there for you snuggle buddy.
You know what Im talking about, when your in a store,
and you can't keep your hands off that one blanket.

Little Things I Love

Lord, behold the Drumstick.
The texture, The creaminess,The crunch.
Pottery Barn, I love their stuff.
Not much to say- I just love it.
I like the vase, but, I love the picture.
Plus, its just so bubbly.
Last but not least.
These cookies are just so darn good.
Marmie made them today and we can't keep our hands off them.

Rainy Day Update

First, I want to thank you all so so much, I really enjoy reading your comments.
Some of you had some questions that I would be happy to answer.

1. The camera I use is Marmie's it is a Canon PowerShot SX10IS there is a camera that I want for my own its the Nikon COOLPIX S8000 (donations accepted lol).

2. I do not miss school, there is too much commotion and I find it to hard to learn anything. Plus kids are trying to be "original'' and then they all look the same.

3. This one is more of a tip, when taking photos I like to get to the level of the object/person. Never be afraid to take a close up, and remember angles are key.

The Porch

The Porch, the part of the house
that never gets used.
But when it does, it becomes a wonderful place.
The sun pouring in onto the floor
while the birds sing, and you read along.
The breeze carries the soft sweet scent of lilac under your nose.
Or if you're like Marmie and I, it can become the Nook of Learning.
Where you learn about punctuation, then have a lunch break.
Come back and read about settlers in 1732.
