The Porch

The Porch, the part of the house
that never gets used.
But when it does, it becomes a wonderful place.
The sun pouring in onto the floor
while the birds sing, and you read along.
The breeze carries the soft sweet scent of lilac under your nose.
Or if you're like Marmie and I, it can become the Nook of Learning.
Where you learn about punctuation, then have a lunch break.
Come back and read about settlers in 1732.

Ok, so like I know you told me not to be the first one to be commenting....*ahem* but I can't help it, cause I love you, and I think you are cool. :-)

Hi Aaron. Love that you are taking an interest in Photography and showing it off. Have you considered using the 'Minima Stretch' Blogger free template? You can show off your photos much larger without people having to click on them to enlarge. Just a thought.

Keep up the photography and hone your skills. It's a great hobby.

Hi Aaron,

I love your photography and am looking forward to regular updates on your blog. What kind of camera do you use?

Aaron,

I especially like your header photo of the Bleeding Heart. Lucky you to have class on the porch. I was stuffed into a room with at least two dozen others who didn't want to be there, sitting on rock hard chairs, being bored to death by a teacher who stopped caring as soon as she earned tenure. Do you like being home schooled? Do you miss being around other people your age?

Aaron,
So thrilled to see you with a blog of your own! Really loved your reviews of PW's cookbook and always loved Aunt Jayme's posts when you were included. Homeschooling is amazing, I was cooped up in a classroom with the other chickens! Welcome to BlogLand Aaron, it's a great place to spread your wings and FLY!

Wow, CONGRATS - GREAT BLOG!
I'm a new lurker at The Coop Keeper (haven't even had nerve to leave a comment there yet. Better do so now, huh?) and also just started my first blog. Your pictures put mine to shame. I think I'll try the tip about Minema stretch, but will still have to get better at using my camera...
I'll be back soon.
Have fun!

I love your aunt's porch too. It was too cold to hang out there when I visited in December, but let it be known, I *will* be coming to enjoy it this summer. You can take all kinda pictures of me. I'm such a fashionista ya know...

Aaron, your pic's are beautiful and your blog is interesting. Your such an "old soul" for your age. Which isn't a bad thing.

I'm so glad you're interested in your camera and pic's, not the usual gaming and things that young men shouldn't be. I miss seeing you every week and we'll have to do a day soon. Are you and Marmie still interested in the cow place? Tay's wanting to go soon before it starts to stink. :) Let us know. Love ya

You catch the viewers attention and the detail is wonderful. I'm sure I am talking to a future photographer. Nice to talk to you, I keep up with your aunts blog. Poor Helen!!!

Hi Aaron, I think you've got a great eye for photography. I love your self portrait in the side view mirror. Unique and original. I recently bought a new Nikon DSLR camera but it hasn't improved my photography skills! I plan on taking a course just so I can figure out how to use it. Keep up the great work, I look forward to seeing more.

Be well

I love the picture at the very top, up the wall. My husband couldn't understand why one would take a picture like that, but he's not a photographer. I take pictures as well, I started at about your age actually. I was never as ambitious to start my own blog though! Enjoy it! You're doing great!
